Ana Ortez-Rivera is a proud Salvadoran-American born and raised in Washington D.C. She later moved to Maryland where she attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School and the University of Maryland - College Park. She graduated from UMD in May 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Social-Cultural Anthropology, certificate in Latin American Studies, and minor in International Development and Conflict Management.
Ana’s areas of interest include research with immigrants populations, development, education policy, community engagement, and digital design.
She is passionate about fighting for immigrant and refugee rights and related issues. Ana dedicates her career to public service to make an impact in her community.
Ana also enjoys long naps and her grandma’s mashed potatoes.
